Ambient Noise Mixologyĭark Noise 2 brings with it the hotly-requested feature of mixing multiple sounds together to form unique soundscapes that suit the user’s fancy. I’ve written about my love of Dark Noise before, and today marks the release of Dark Noise 2 - the biggest update to the app since it launched in August of last year. I’ve found that my best work is so often facilitated by the active noise-cancellation of my AirPods Pro and the calming sounds of a crackling campfire provided by Dark Noise - the delightful ambient noise app from developer Charlie Chapman. I've already decided IT should be one of those two.In a time when so many are working from home, finding ways to stay focused on your work in an environment full of distractions is especially critical. I'm not looking for alternatives to these coolers. I know it ultimately comes down to personal preference but knowing myself, I wonder if there's anything i forgot to think about when researching. It also seems to me that the fan mounting clips on the Noctua are a better quality and easier to work with. Has got the RAM clearance i'm looking for and i've decided to buy a Noctua 120 mm fan seperately, and put in the front to make the top surface even and still get a little extra cooling performance. Not because i'm afraid of the motherboard - i know it takes a lot of force to bend and break, but because i would be annoyed looking at it sagging.Īlso a great looking cooler but without same amount of attention to detail on the top part in terms of asthetics. Also i've concerned about the cooler sagging due to it's weight. ![]() I'm a little unsure if it would block the light from the first RAM stick, even though i'm trying scale down the amount of RGB. I know the fan needs to be mounted a little higher, but i simply can't decide wether it's going to look goofy. What makes me unable to decide is the RAM clearance. I know there's no need to choose components from the same manufacturer, but since i already have a Pure Base 500DX i thought it would be nice to have the cooler also. So i've been narrowing it down and needed a little advice on my thoughts in case i forgot somethig or were overthinking the whole proces.įirstly: I'm well aware that both coolers performance are marginally close to each other, and that Noctua only has 1 fan.ĭark Rock Pro 4: I think it's a great looking cooler in terms of asthetics and would compliment my build with a clean look due to the flattened and straight surface on the top. Have been doing a good amount of research and i have to admit that it made me more in doubt. My build is in a 500DX case which have plenty og space for above mentioned coolers - also if a front fan needs a higher placement. The reason i'm in doubt is because of my 4x8 GBVengeance Pro RGB Ram which clearly are to tall to fit under the fan on the DRP4 and therefore the front fan needs to be elevated a little. Black Friday coming up soon seemed to be a good time to make the change. The noise from the fans and pump is getting on my nerves and i decided to switch to an air cooler. I'm currently running a H100i Platinum AIO to cool my 5800x, which isn't overclocked.
